I think Hillary Clinton should remain a senator and still be secretary of state because she can handle both jobs. But if I were suggesting which job Hillary Clinton should hold onto, probably the senate seat. It seems to me that Hillary Clinton can wield more power in a productive and intelligent manner by working with a congress in which republicans will look to her as the voice of reason among a huge democratic majority.
I try to visualize Hillary Clinton as secretary of state. Sometimes I see her hitting a home run as she really is able to discuss and resolve important international issues, and then other times I see her role as being completely dependent on how the media decides to play it, and how the Barack Obama team decides to toy with her.
Yeah, Hillary Clinton could do both jobs at the same time (although I presume it's not legal), but if she had to choose one....

All in the Family ran from 1971 to 1979 and featured Jean Stapleton
and Carroll O'Connor as the wife and husband. All in the Family ended its run in 1979 but the show continued under the name Archie Bunkers Place, which then ran from 1979 to 1983. In the new version, Jean Stapleton has died and Archie Bunker now runs a bar.
In real life, Carroll O'Connor passed on in 2001, Jean Stapleton is still alive.
I saw Jean Stapleton in a movie last night called "A Matter of Sex". A Matter of Sex is a modern day (early 80's) suffragettes movie revolving around 8 women who went on strike because their bank would not promote them or pay them in line with their male counterparts.Suddenly I saw the additional irony being played out in real life.
Jean Stapleton, who is still alive, was killed off in Archie Bunker's Place, whereas Carroll O'Connor, who passed on in 2001, outsurvived Jean Stapleton in the television show.
In fact, Carroll O'Connor would get another television series as well. However, Jean Stapleton could never use her famous character Edith because Edith had been killed off.
This is another example of a male getting to prolong and extend his career while the woman co-star role is prematurely snuffed out and can no longer be used by her for the rest of her career.

I think that everybody is forgetting one crucial thing; Hillary Clinton is ambitious. That's not a bad thing, it's ambition that drove her to run for president. But, I think the Senate has grown a little too confining, in fact, it was arguably always just a stepping stone. Again, not a bad thing, but it seems obvious to me that HRC has outgrown the job of low ranking Senator, and is looking for one more befitting her talents, vision, and dreams.
Becoming SoS would be risky. She'd have to parrot Obama's line, not express her own views. And the President can't fire a Senator. Still, she's pretty politically savvy and can judge the distribution of forces. And there may be deals being made behind the scenes that we don't know about.
One advantage the mainstream media has over all over media sources is the ability to take a 90 minute audio stream, and convert it to a transcript that takes 15 minutes to read.
That is a big savings of time for everybody who wants to learn more.
